Mother Knows Best

Mother know what is best for my daughter. These cute piggies needed to join me on a date.

Sweet Lyn was gleaming ear to ear. She is always a darling to be around!

Brookie picked our lavender polish and gold glitter for a top coat. It's been fun matching!

We finished our date while the brothers were napping. Brookie randomly rolled out her play dough and made foot prints with her dinosaur. She then asked me if this is how many times Daddy and I have been to the temple.

You see Brookie raided my jewelry box yet again and asked to wear this cute temple necklace on our date. Of course I couldn't say no. I earned this charm when I was a laurel a very long time ago. Brookie comprehends so much about Heavenly Father's plan. She is my star that shines so brightly right here at home.

We finished our date by playing with her cool modern day paper dolls. We made such beautiful memories together.

Sweet Innocence

Pure innocence.... is 5 months new!

Surprise, it's a tie... Tanner's cheeks were just as huge.

Our Colb's is content just being around Tan, Brookie and Kadster.

He's always soaking up their tender words.

Tanner said, " Mom I love him sooo much I just want to squeeze him...."

Tanner has made a special bond with "his Colby" while out of school.

The kids literally fight over who gets to see his first smile of the day! He randomly started sucking his thumb and it got me worried. If he had sucked it since birth that's one thing but to start now. Thankfully he's phasing out of that.

Chunkasaurus's thigh circumference is comparable to my forearm and I love squeezing and kissing them! In fact I love kissing him all over. The kids see me attacking him and do the same.

Brookie trying her wig on Colbster.

Big Sis got real worried when she realized his fingers and toes were all wrinkled.
She said, "Oh no now you look like an old man, It's okay Colby."

Colby has mastered grabbing his toes. When he's real hungry he sucks on them! j/k but he does really suck on them. He giggles now, usually for Daddy and Tanner. He enjoys the exersaucer, jumperoo, and the awesome bumbo chair. Sugar rolls over several times in a row. He loves to stand on our laps and even fly like super man. Oh and can't forget how you love being outside!

Colby-thanks for showering us with love.

Mo-Home Time

Kadster calls our Motor home "Mo-Home". We love it!

For cousin Samuel's 8th birthday he wanted to go camping with all his cousins. He got his wish! All 16 of Samuel's first cousins and his 3 brothers were able to join the party.
(Cousins Liam and Josh weren't in the motor home for the picture)

Brookie and her little boyfriend Logan. Their birthdays are only one day apart. Logan is a sweetie and would rather play with Brookie than his brothers and 8 other boy cousins.
(Logan is Auntie Pam's nephew so though we seem related we technically aren't.)

At Rancho Jurupa camp grounds they have a cool water splash pad as well as fun rocks to climb.

Birthday boy with Colbster.

Even with a dozen boys to play with,Tan still takes the time to play with Colby.
The pirate's hat was from the pinata.

Phil, Mac, Uncle Phil and Sean recouping a bit.

Colb's was the most cooperative for pictures this day. I guess because he doesn't have a choice until he learns to run away.

Am I Loosing My Marbles?

Well not these ones...

What a treasure!
I found these while helping Grandma Hundley move. The kids only got to play with them for photo purposes while Kadster was sleeping.

I only wish I had Grandpa Joe Hundley here to tell me the stories behind them. They are from when he was 7-8 yrs old. These are the real deal un-like the ones you can buy today. They are approximately 90 years old!!!

(Now you know since I've posted this-don't worry Robby,Heather and Holly I'll share.)

Around the Abode

I find myself journaling about all our adventures outside our sweet abode. So I'm going to be more conscience of documenting our precious moments right here close to our hearts.

Yes it's a snail. The kids know that the snail is our enemy. Well to our garden anyways.

Dad along with Tan's help built two nice planter boxes to start our organic garden.

Just a few veggies of Tan's labors. He's a little proud!
I over see to make sure the plants are doing good. Otherwise Tanner's responsible for watering 14 plants. He willingly took on the chore. Brookie and Kaden are in charge of the 4 orange tree's that we inherited from Grandma Hundley. The tree's aren't as sensitive. :)

One of Kaden's current nicknames is "Spicy". Kaden's smart, stubborn and spunky. His strong will is as if he's an adult scrunched into a toddler. Spicy describes him perfectly. I miss my spicy right now. He's snoozing away...

Tanner caught nearly a dozen tadpoles when he went to Zion's park with Uncle Phillip. He brought them all home. Such a nice surprise.

It ended up being an awesome educational experience. One healthy bugger survived for 3 weeks. Amongst that time, our little mascot evolved from being a little fish to a froggy. Tanner caught fly's to feed him.

Each day we were amused (including me) at the process. Little Tad's tail absorbed into his body more each day and his little legs slowly broke out of his body. I felt like I was in science class but better. After being a frog for a few days, our buddy died. Dad had an appropriate burial in the front yard.

Wild Daddy comes up with the coolest tricks.

Their joints are yet to be dislocated. Worried me can't help but think that it's bound to happen.

Even Kade can't miss out of the fun ride. Our trampoline is full of fun filed memories. So glad we've had one for 5+ years. And to think that Dad and I didn't break our necks jumping on trampolines without protective nets.

This is Colby's first wagon ride. He loved it! Tanner may have been more excited than Colby or I.

Who felt special?

I felt super special to spend QT with my handsome "Tan the Man".

Tanner genuinely appreciates quality time with me. I worry that the day will come that I'm not so cool to hang out with anymore. So for now I soak up what I can get. For the handful of times Tan's bowled, he's awesome. He gave me some pointers. He did expect to beat me. Not this time.

After bowling he wanted to play arcade games. I forewarned him that the claw game is real tricky and it just likes to keep money and not give prizes. Tan won this green ball, got it out of the machine and said, "I told you I could win". He even asked if he could win Kaden and Sissy one. Tan's so thoughtful!

During our date I realized just how coordinated my "Tan the Man" is. You name it, he can do it! He catches on real quick.

He won TONS of tickets and earned more prizes. Tan is so fun to be with!

I'm thankful for my Tanner Bear. He's a fabulous son and brother and cousin and student and listener and reader and pianist and singer and cook and gardener and Child of God!
