Creating and Sacrificing

“Motherhood is the one thing in all the world which most truly exemplifies the God-given virtues of creating and sacrificing.

Though it carries the woman close to the brink of death,

motherhood also leads her into the very realm of the fountains of life and makes her co-partner with the Creator in bestowing upon eternal spirits mortal life."
-- David O. McKay

My very talented friend Tonya offered to take maternity pictures of me. I'm so glad she convinced me. A priceless gift no doubt.

Why would I sign up to be sick again (as of now 32 months under my belt) to be a mother of another little angel?

Why would I donate my body to get another sweetie here on earth?

It's complex yet very simple.
I'm honored to be Tanner's, Brooklyn's Kaden's and Colby's Mommy.
I'd wouldn't have it any other way!

All about the Quality

Dad and Tan hiked the Norconian Hill. Normally Tan and I hike the Hill. But seeing how I'm out of commission; I let Dad have the honors.
Tanner can never get enough of his Daddio!

Tan was happy to find a vertebrae of some kind of lizard. He was kind to bring it home to share.

While Brookie and Tan were off learning at school, Kade and I had a Mommy date.

My little sugar was so thrilled. He totally understands that Mommy and Daddy dates are better than ice cream!

Kaden loves to swing. He's not content when I push him like a 2yr old would be pushed. Each and every time I push him he shouts, "HIGHER MOMMY". I'll push him so high he'll be parallel to the ground! It's just not high enough.

Precious Kadster is so strong willed and comprehends so much. He needs to just to keep up with
Tan and Sis.

Lyn and I had a pink type of date. Hair, nails, make-up and princess books!

My little girl pranced around the park with no worries.

She brought her fanciest shoes to wear after her toes were painted just right.

I reassured Brookie that she's so beautiful without make-up. She knows her body is just like a temple, so very special to Heavenly Father!

Mr. Kadster

It's pretty eventful trying to get Kaden to nap in his new big boy bed.
This day it was so close to the time we had to pick up Tanner from school, I gave in to Kaden's request and let his out of his room to eat again.

It was a throw up day for me so I was resting on the couch while he was quitely eating.
I was surprised to find my peacefully sleeping angel.

This was the first time he had fallen to sleep while eating. My Mom actually has several pictures of me doing this as a child.

Brookie was so happy he had fallen to sleep, caressed his face and begged for me to transfer him to her lap. She is such a mama. It's very rewarding seeing how nurturing she is to the family.

Also...

Kadster has grown out of 90% of his food intolerance's! I'm more than thrilled! Dairy is still his enemy. Stater's started selling soy ice cream. Hooray! I usually have to go to Henry's to get it. He got a cool surprise when I returned from the store Saturday afternoon.

Kaden was singing and dancing around the kitchen.

Ice cream can make anybody happy!

Pure Delight

Brookie surprised me with this precious drawing. Dad's on the left, I'm on the right and baby Colby is below my head in the circle. A butterfly on the side of me just because.

A touch

of
pure delight!

Tanner made this sweet picture for me. I'm the pretty dragon on the left and he's the handsome one on the right. His basketball team is the Dragons.

2 hrs 13 min

Sean left at 5:45am to head to his first 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles)!

Just look at my happy hubby! He finished and felt he could have ran more. He wasn't even tired. Just extra sore. WOW!

Sean finished the Irvine 1/2 Marathon in 2 hrs and 13 minutes!
Sean and his loving Mommy. Julie and Doyle came to watch him finish the run. I was so bummed that I wasn't able to go. Tanner had a basketball at the same time. :(

The kids colored awesome welcoming home pictures for Dad. They couldn't wait for him to return home. It doesn't bother them one bit that Daddy was all sweaty. They think it's cool.

I'm so proud of my hubby. He's been a great example to me and our sweet angels.
Congrats Hunny!

When's My Date?

Brookie knew Tan and I had planned date. She immediately asked when she gets to go on her Daddy Date. Dad didn't hesitate to plan it ASAP!

Brookie can nearly get Daddy to do anything with her sweet hugs and kisses. She wanted to go to Burger King, a movie, buy a toy, go to the park and get ice cream. Good thing they compromised. They went to Burger King, got the toy from the meal, picked up Tan to join the park fun and got some ice cream!

Brooklyn looks up to Daddy is a special light. She misses him each and everyday and never hesitates reminding him when he hasn't snuggled her and tickled her back long enough at bedtime. She prefers Daddy to snuggle and tickle for about 20 minutes!

Tan Time

Before Tan went back to school we had one last Tan Date. Each date he soaks up the attention and feels so special just like we want him too! We started off at Carl's Jr. play area. This time Kaden was a lucky duck and got to tag along.

Tan got this cool black car that's from the upcoming movie Green Hornet.

Then off the Chucky's.

And we topped off the date by going what Tanner calls the "dinosaur digging park".
I usually avoid this park because it has the sand. So after sister was out of school, we got the sand gear and headed. To my surprise the sand was still wet from all the rains. I was a good Mommy and kept my mouth shut though I couldn't stand how dirty they were getting!
---
The time Tanner has had with us while he's been off track has been precious and priceless.
He teaches me so much and is such a blessing to us all!
