Simple Joys

Kaden continues to be a smoother brother!  Poor Colby endures so much being the youngest but he sure takes it well. Kaden always tell Colby, " You are my bestest friend ever!"

Tanner often falls to sleep in Kaden's bed per Kaden's request. Tanner gives in real easily to all his siblings and I love watching them. Nearly every time Kaden doses off first and Tanner kisses his cheeks several times and hugs him. When I asked Tanner why he does that he said, "I need to steal them because Kaden won't let me when he's awake!"
When Brookie is tired she gets real whiny and says, "I don't feel good, I need to snuggle." Daddy and I gladly take her up on her requests. Out of all the kids, Brookie wants and needs the most physical attention.

When I was a little girl, my Mom says I was very dainty. I remember begging her to buy me high hills and beginner bras (When I really didn't need one).  For the past 3 years Brookie has paid buying shoes- prancing around... checking her feet out. i was the same way. I didn't care if it was uncomfortable!

Kadster is our personal singer and dancer! When we celebrate any birthday he belts out the b-day song and is always so happy. We catch him dancing every opportunity he can when music is playing. Occasionally if he is attracting too much attention he'll get real shy and hide.

Colbster continues to win over everyone's heart.  He is the star of the day everyday!  The kids still fight over his attention when he wakes every morning and from every nap.

This is a very rare occasion!
At bedtime one night Tanner told me, "I really want to see the whole world!" I love that he likes to travel and experience new things like Dad and I.  After all he'd been to Argentina, Mexico and Hawaii by his first birthday.

I caught Brookie praying for another baby when she was going potty. I thought to myself, maybe she thought she had to be secretive because we've told her that Colby is our last baby. I assured her that she could have as many babies as she wants when she's married around age 24.

Kaden is good at complimenting us. Often it's just when I need a boost. He randomly expresses his love to me. One of my favorites lately is when I'd return from a short visit to the gym. He runs into the garage to greet me and says how much he missed me.

These little feet are so squishy but, boy are they busy.
Colby's little personality is getting bigger and bigger. He petitions now when the kids try to make him do something he just doesn't like, if they pick him up or take something away from him. Often it's something choke-able items so I'm glad we have so many eyes watching out for our lil guy, makes my job easier no doubt!

When we were on the way to the store one day, I realized I didn't have my wallet with me. I said, "darn I don't have my credit card!" Brooklyn said, "Mom it's a crud card." I thought to myself, a lot of people should call it a crud card when the run up the bill and not have any money to pay for it.

The kids sure love their Uncle Will-Woo.  He's only been home a few months from his mission but the kids give him with royal treatment as though he didn't miss a beat here in California.  I know William loves every bit of attention.  He's in high demand around our home. This picture is when William was trying to leave our home and the kids all jumped in the car and begged him to stay!

Girlie Girl Time

We were ecstatic that we could attend the the Mother-Daughter PJ/ Movie night at school. You can't tell from the pictures but I wore my very own Brooklyn shirt that auntie found me.

We made bracelets, painted nails and got her face painted and barely watched the movie "Double Trouble".

We also were treated with pizza, popcorn, soda and candy galore!

We had a great date enjoying our girlie time together!

Our Busy Bundle

Our Busy Bundle of Joy is getting too big.
He loves the park. He really doesn't know what he is going to do from one minute to the next.  It's so sweet to watch him!  Kaden protects and hovers over his lil'bro.
Cousin Jacob is so patient and spoils "Our Lobe" every time we visit the Mower Ranch.

We don't even have to take Colby to the petting zoo when Auntie Heather Renee has 2 goats, 2 dogs, and several chickens.  Colby laughs and is so happy to be around all the animals.

Brookie is so devoted and is always mothering her baby Colby.  By default Colby is learning to love babies too even though he's our caboose. His Auntie Heather Ann will be having a little baby girl cousin in September and we know Colby is going to be so amused.
Colbster is so inquisitive. I thoroughly enjoy watching him learn and grow each day. A problem I have is that I can't keep him small forever. I know he needs to grow into a young man at some point but he will always be my baby Colby.

Boys to Men

This was Kaden's first fun filled Father and Sons camp out with Daddy and Tanner. They camped at the near by Rancho Jurupa Park.
Brookie snuck in the motor home for this picture.
Kaden was in heaven with his "Tan the Man". He aspires to be just like him and Tanner is very flattered.

The weeks leading up to father and son's, Kaden asked repeatedly when he was going and he'd say, "I'm going to my father and son's!" I love that Sean makes it a priority to spend quality time with all our children. The kids are always ecstatic to be around Daddy no matter what they do together.

I Love This Guy!

My K-K and I went on a date to see The Chimpanzee Movie.  The Chimpanzee Movie was wasn't animated and actually a documentary but Kaden still loved it. There is a very sad part when a Mommy dies and her baby almost dies. Kaden kept telling me how sad he was for that baby Chimp.

Kaden even had left overs that he insisted on bringing home.
I love this guy! He has such a spunky free spirit. After the movie we were hanging out listening to the Rio soundtrack on my phone. He jumped right up and started singing and dancing without a care in the world. I sure need to me more like that!
We had a great time together! I sure love my K-K even with spicy personality and all.!

My Favorite Job Ever

Kaden made these beautiful cards for me at pre-school and primary. He was so anxious to give them to me.

Brookie is so creative and devotes so much time on detail for all my pictures. She is going to surpass me as a mother some day and I'll be so very proud!

 Might-Outstanding-Teaching-Happy-Excellent-Right
Tanner made this thoughtful card! I love the words he chose to describe me as a mother!

The card reads, "You are so loving to take me on a date. I really love you... love-Tanner

These are misc. gifts of love the kids have showered me with. They are all so thoughtful!
A sad attempt to take a mothers day picture with my angels at bedtime.

 Such is reality!
I am eternally blessed to be a mother of four precious, priceless angels from heaven. Being a Mother is my favorite Job ever.  I get paid with ever lasting love every shift and even when I call in sick.

The Best Wedge Yet

Tanner started attending scouts shortly after his 8th birthday. He was so excited and counted down the days he could attend. Tanner just happened to make the cut off to participate in the annual pine wood derby. Here's a picture of most of his wolf pack! Boys, boys and more boys!

Tanner was called up to race his best friend Justin. Justin's parents, Sean and I became a bit nervous for them to compete. Tanner beat Justin and Justin was amazingly supportive and cheered Tanner on the remainder of his races.
The rest of Tan's cheerleaders watched with anticipation.

Tanner put a lot of thought into what kind of car he wanted to make. He looked at some scout websites for ideas and tips. Dad assisted him in cutting this car shape with a saw and Tanner did the rest. He spent hours sanding it so it would be come out just perfect. He won an award for having the "Best Wedge Shape"!
Tanner won the pine wood derby for his age group! He nearly won over all. We are so proud of Tanner's hard work, time and effort he put into his 1st of many derby cars. Daddy was adamant that Tanner do the project unlike some of Tanner's friends fathers make most of their sons cars for them.
Tanner and his best bud Justin. I was assigned to visit teach his mother DeAnne when he was a newborn and I was sick pregnant with Tanner. Needless to say, DeAnne and I became best friends and  by default we made the boys do the same.

Lyncess Time

Daddy had the honors of taking his Lyncess to a special Daddy Daughter Dance at school.  Brookie looked forward to it for weeks and was very proud to bring her Daddy. As you might be able to tell from the picture, she was really nervous. Her favorite part of the dance was learning the hokey-pokey with Dad. She came home and demonstrated the dance! The theme was black and white. Daddy jumps at any opportunity to spend quality time with his Princess!
Brookie and her twin Reagan. They love having matching spirit shirts and hair cuts!
We attended back to school night and loved seeing all of Brookie's special projects. Tanner is so devoted to his sister and compliments her all the time!

Our Helping Hands

This year Tanner, Brooklyn and I were able to serve with the Mormon helping hands project at Horse Shoe Park in Jurupa Valley. We felt it would be counter productive having Colby and Kaden this year.

We were asked to remove all the liter and debris from this run down horse park.

You name it, we found it!
Thoughtful Brookie even found some pretty flowers for me!
After a hard few hours of work in the blistering sun, Tanner was DONE! We love the learning experiences that come from physically serving. After this day, Dad and I decided that we need to have some McMullin Family service projects more often.
