My Simple Joys

Kaden ran outside with his picture he had just drew to show the rocket ship flying over. Kaden hasn't been on an airplane before but LOVES watching airplanes. If fact he gets real upset if he doesn't make it outside fast enough to see the "rocket ship". Tan and Sis are so sweet that they will often hurry to help unlock the door to make sure he gets out quickly enough.

Oh Colbs! He sure puts up with a lot of toting around. Poor guy. Good thing he is ultra easy going and is amused by a simple smile of a new face or a funny face. He literally attacks Tanner when Tan returns from school. This includes Colby pulling Tan's hair and touching his face. Tan likes any attention he can get from his lil' bro.

Tanner has gotten more confident lately and older. :( A few times I've asked Tan to run in to pick up our to go order from Chipotle or drop some books at the library. He willingly goes right in alone and likes the responsibility. Of course these places I can almost park at the door. Every time he helps I emphasis how much I appreciate not getting all the kids out.

Kaden is still disciplined on a daily basis. I have to say his obedience has improved. When he's gotten in trouble he often reminds me, "Mommy, you hurt my feelings again!" He also has been caught humming church songs while in time out. Like I don't feel bad enough already.

I adore how I'll catch Brookie looking at her beautiful self in the mirror. She will smile, but more often than not she has a serious model face. I usually don't say anything because she gets embarrassed. I hope she will always know that she is exceptionally beautiful on the inside and out!

Tan has been taking piano for about 2 months. He was blessed with a great ear for it. He's learning to read the music but truly prefers to play by memory (ear). We love when he can play a song for us and for our family home evening. Colby also loves to play with Tanner. It's a special thing they do together.

Kaden is at such a sweet age. His mind is working like crazy to figure out everything. When we are in the car and the sun glares in his eyes he complains that it's to sunny. Now when we are at home and the lights are bright he also says, "It's to sunny Mom!" I don't correct him because I LOVE it.

Brookie has the most exceptionally beautiful hair. She loves all the princess's. Most importantly Ariel and Rapunzel. So she has started a new trend. She likes her hair to swoop down her forehead and covering most of her eye. Every time I try to fix it slightly to she her cute face she reminds me that Ariel's hair does it.

Colbs rolls around a lot and scoots around but good thing he's pretty slow still. Of course with Tan we couldn't wait for him to learn and grow and in some ways I wish Colbs could grow twice as slow so I can enjoy each stage more.

Kade has always been our dancer, any song anywhere. When in the car he points out that his fingers and or toes are dancing. I to love to dance so I think it's super sweet that he like music that much!

Colbs Balobs is Siete Meses

He's as upset as I am that he turned 7 months.

These little piggies stayed home.

Looking into his eyes, I know how much he comprehends and how he is still so near to his Heavenly Father.

Colbs Balobs is his newest nickname from Daddio.

His innocence keeps me focused on Heavenly Father's Plan for me. His trust in me gives me strength when I am so weak.

Little Mama is a righteous example to me.

My angels having a little pool party.

No surprise when I say, Colbs is growing like a weed. I would pay anything to slow time.

Mumbo-Jumbo

The definition of mumbo-jumbo is an expression or phrase that is meaningless. These moments and art work are much more than that. They are awesome family mumbo-jumbo and these mean the world to me!

The kiddo's LOVE to color and draw. They are all artistic like their Great Grandma Hundley and their Grandpa Hundley.

The asthma twins got new nebulizer masks. I added eyelashes to Brookie's and colored Kaden's eye's blue to tell them apart.

Brooklyn loves drawing our family. I just love the expressions she draws on our faces.

Lyn just wanted to be silly.

Kaden loves using the glue stick. The top picture is actually Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus. So abstract! The bottom picture of the hand, Lyn drew for me with long nails and lots of rings.

Sugar loves swinging at the park.

Tan picked this flower for his Sis when she hurt herself.

Just having a melt down afternoon.

Colbs first ride in the bike trailer. I think Tan was more excited than Colbs.

Colbster also loves to eat his fingers. Check out those tiny toes.

Lyncess My Princess

Deep inside my young heart lies the one I want to be,
And deep inside my soul I find the seeds of divinity,

And now and then I see glimpses of the woman I can become,
I know some day that I will find her here if I don't give up,

I am a princess, a royal queen I'll be
So I must choose to find and use my divine qualities,

Daughter of heaven a queen someday I'll be,
An heir of my mother in heaven for eternity,

Everyday I'm closer to the one I want to be,
And slowly I'm uncovering my heavenly qualities,

And I'll continue working toward the woman I can become
Developing my qualities through service and through love.
(by, Julie de Azevedo)

My sassy lyn is blossoming into the most perfect Daughter of God. More precious and heavenly than I ever imagined!

This jewelry box is my mothers. As a little girl I remember always seeing this pretty box and my sisters and I would often play with it without permission of course.

When my Mommy moved (without permission I might add) I asked if I could have it and without hesitation she handed it over. Now my girl is fascinated with it.

This little beauty is also my mothers and I always wished it was mine.

It's so sweet and lovely just like my angel Brookie.

I love you forever my princess lyncess.

Daddy is Kinda Like Ice Cream

Daddy is like ice cream or candy.
The kids never get sick of him and they are always excited to have him around.

Dad and Tan went on a recent date near the river by our house. There were some cool trails they discovered and they hunted for mosquito's. Tanner recently read a book all about those pesty guys.

Dad knew I would have never let Tan touch the water. It's pretty gross by our house.
Of course he had a blast.

Daddy had the honors of taking Brookie to play miniature golf for the first time.

She LOVED it and LOVED daddy's attention. When Dad got a hole in one Brookie was concerned that he didn't get to play anymore. She's so considerate.

Our Oasis

Everyone in our little family would agree that the beach is our Oasis...a calming, relaxation, kind of like a little therapy for us all. There's nothing quite like sleeping a football field away from paradise.

These pictures are a combination of two Doheny camping weekends that were just two weeks apart. One weekend our buddies the Sage's camped just a hop skip and a jump away. The kids were in heaven.

After five years of Daddy encouraging Tanner during the summers, Tan our Man is fearless in the ocean. He had a blast boogie boarding.

Dad gave Tan his first surfing lesson. The waves were crumby so no luck. Tan did have a great time chillin' with his favorite man.

Lyn is such a mama.

Daddy likes to make a double chin so he can match his colbs.
