Beef and Tan

Months ago, my oldest nephew Jordan completed he's eagle project! Sean and Tanner joined the fun. Jordan and friends made two amazing plant viewing aquariums for kindergarten classes.

Tanner and Ethan (aka Beef) took this project very seriously. I just love how they worked hard together. These cousins love hanging out.

My Simple Joys

This past month, Kaden mastered walking. He loves keeping up with the kids, climbing on tables and climbing to the top of the bunk bed!!!

Brooklyn was dilly dallying instead of buckling her seat belt. I told her the policeman might see her. Tanner said, "Brooklyn the police man will give you a real ticket, not a toy one!"

Brookie got in trouble in the bath, I reminded her that I wasn't the only one listening to her. She thought for a minute and then she said, "Heavenly Father can see the pirates make bad choices too".

Kaden's newest words are: Ball, Dog (gog), Pooh-Pooh (says this one with great inflection), Uhoh, Nigh (night-night), Nanner (Tanner),and Sizzy (Sissy). We love to hear his little voice developing.

Kaden just might be our musical gem in the fam. He loves to dance and lead music at home and during sacrament. He's so precious.

Recently, I was wearing a new dress. Tanner gave me a great compliment. He said, "Your dress is more beautiful than a garden." He already knows how to score points.

Tanner recently asked, "Where do we go potty in heaven?". I assured him that there must be toilets there. On a different day he asked, If I go to Heaven, when do i come back? I love that he's

Kaden's already learned how to manipulate Dad and I. Occasionally he'll cry in his crib after he's been put to bed. If we rescue him or check on him, he'll lay his head on our shoulder and hold on to our arm tightly in hopes we won't lay him back down. It's almost a guarantee that he'll melt our hearts and we'll cuddle a couple more minutes. xoxo

Lately Tanner has been analyzing Sean and my courtship. He recently asked, who picked eachother first? You or Daddy? Of course I told him my version of the story.

On the road again...

We went to St. George conference weekend for a little family get away and to support Uncle Phil running the St. George marathon.
This is Tanner at one of our many diaper changing stops.
He sure loves rocks!

This particular chunk of time was our most peaceful of the trip.
It was great Brooklyn and Kaden slept a good portion on the way to Utah and back.

Years ago, Sean said he wanted to hike the Narrow's in Zion Park with me.
Between my sick pregnancies and nursing my angels there hasn't much time.

Thanks to Grandma Julie and Grandpa Doyle, Sean and I were able to hike the Narrows.
It was very cold and wet the whole hike but so cool.

It was definitely a date I will never forget. To be able to spend the day with my best friend and be at one of the most beautiful places on earth was pure bliss.

This was an attempt to warm up a bit.

This is a picture of complete strangers. We discovered that we were approaching a waist deep portion of the river.

Sean was sweet and offered to turn back because we weren't really prepared like other people that had their water proof pants and boots.

I was a sport and thought what the heck! We may a well do it. When were we going to have this opportunity in the near future? So we froze together.

It's always great when strangers cooperate and take our picture.
They did a great job. You can't tell but we are soaked from our waist down.

*Thanks hubby for being so adventurous*

OUR PROFESSIONAL ROCK CLIMBER

Dad took him out for a little one on one time.

I LOVE this picture. Sean did a awesome job.
Tan's smile says it all.

Kaden attempting to take Dad's apple away.

We had to visit the St. George temple too.

This one wasn't a good picture of any of us but I had to post.
Check out Brookie's scowl.
All I can say is that she fell asleep in the car shortly after due to exhaustion.

Uncle William and Grandpa Doyle watching some of conference.
Priceless!

This is the third year that the guys got to attend priesthood session together.
If you look closely you can see Sean's 5-o-clock shadow.

The feet on the left are Sean's. Yes he's wearing black socks with black flip-flops.

You see I was straightening up before we left on our trip and I put his church shoes away not thinking about priesthood session. I realized what I had done once we were on the road. Sean was forgiving. He was about due for new shoes anyways so he went to four stores looking for some.

NO LUCK! So we all voted that if he wore a combo of dark socks and dark sandals guys might not even notice. We all know how most guys do pay much attention. He didn't see anyone even looking!

We went to the park and I had to take advantage of the awesome lighting.

Loving her to pieces is so easy.

Brooklyn won the "I found the longest stick award".
She was very proud.

We had a great time staying with the McMullin Clan.
Thanks for making memories with us!

Mulan and some...

My mother bought the grand kids Chinese attire in Taiwan a couple years back. So I had a little photo shoot with Brookie. She didn't care for the outfit. I barely kept her in the clothes. I told her it was a Mulan dress up outfit. Well it kind of is right???
I'm a little melancholy about the Chinese culture. My late father served his mission in Taiwan. I'm glad I got a couple cuties!

I couldn't pass up this priceless opportunity!

Suits him well.

China Man was a little hungry.

A Piece of Heaven

Kaden and I have learned so much the past 13 months. I know Heavenly Father sent him to me because I had a lot I still needed to learn about sacrifice and motherhood. I'm grateful Kaden's nearly grown out of his food intolerance's. He is sure a piece of Heaven.

This was an attempt to get a picture of the boys matching. Tanner's an awesome big brother.
He always makes sure Kaden is included in the fun and games.

Pretty QT

Since Tanner's been in kinder, Brookie Love and I have had monthly "pretty time". When Brookie was one I started painting her pretties aka toes.

She has become used to being pampered by me. I don't mind.
I love spending QT with my princess.

I Love you and your "pretties" my Brookie Love.

THESE

Nearly everyday, THESE two sugars surprise me with a handful or two of....

THESE.
These beautiful flowers remind me how blessed I am to be a SAHM!
