So Tanner and I were in a public restroom.
Occasionally I check how well he completed his paper work because boys tend to rush. Tanner said, " Mom what shape did Dr. Oz say was healthy?" I tried not to laugh because Tanner is so self conscious. I told him that S and C shapes were good. He said, "Well mine is L shaped. Do you think that is good?" Of course Tanner! Rarely I'll watch a
DVR'ed Oprah show. But when I do they tend to be
the Dr. Oz educational type. I knew Tanner was listening but boy he's a sponge. Love you Tan!
Brookie inherited Tanner's twin bed and is out or her toddler bed. She is so grateful Tanner gave it to her. Well Tanner was a bit motivated to give her the bed knowing that he will soon get his long awaited bunk bed. The first night she slept on her new bed she was smiling ear to ear. We were cuddling on her bed and she said, "Mommy I'm so happy there is enough room for everybody on my bed." If she could have it her way she'd have all five of us cuddling on her bed each night.
Tanner and Brooklyn make what they call a "kitty cat house" with the couch cushions and pillows. No we don't have a cat. It's really just like a fort. Poor kids want a pet that bad. I have made it clear that they have the
privilege of making these forts several times a week as long as they are put away when I ask. Recently the kids weren't cleaning it up and so I clarified that I won't forget the bad choice they were making next time they ask to make one. So Tan said, " Mom I will make you forget just like a magician and you won't remember!" I just loved his idea.
Kaden pulls up on anything and everything. He can't wait to walk around. On the other hand Dad and I CAN wait. He's an amazing vacuum too. He's growing way to fast. too. He has 6 teeth and nearly a 7
th. His little personality is growing each day. He's so happy and content. He continually reminds me to cherish all of these simple joys!
Brookie attempts to read books to
Kaden. Each time she starts out saying," Once upon a time in a far away land..." It's so precious because they aren't even princess books they are baby learning books. I let her have fun pretending with her little bro.
Tanner and
Brookie understand that I exercise to try and get my tummy smaller. So after I worked out at the gym recently Tanner said, " If you get your tummy smaller, you won't be able to have any more kids! Do you really want that!" He was dead serious. I assured him that he just might be blessed with another baby if I DO loose my extra tummy. He was relieved that me going to the gym won't deprive him of another baby. He loves his sis and bro.
