College Buds

Last week Sean was able to visit one of his college friends while he was in Phoenix. It was fun for Sean to get together with Mike Proudfit and reminisce on their college experience. Here’s one funny story brought up that Mike’s wife, Melody, blogged.

Sean: “Remember that time you took like 3 different girls on a date through Dairy Queen drive through all at separate times of the day? …Sorry Mel, my wife hates when I bring up stories like this too.”

Me: “It’s ok… I’ve heard this story before.”

Mike: (laughing his “I’m so cool laugh”) “Yeah. But it wasn’t 3, but… 4 girls.”

Sean: “OH YEAH! I’ve been telling your story wrong then.. sorry, Mike.”

Mike: “Yeah, and I had to take the 4th girl to a different place because the drive through lady recognized me and started to ask me if I’d just been there with a couple other girls earlier.”

(Sean and Mike were laughing hysterically. I was rolling my eyes at these two who were remembering Mike’s “playah” days.)

Mike: “I had to race out of there before the lady finished what she was saying, and the girl looked at me confused asking me what was going on and why did I peel out of there so fast. I told her I felt like going somewhere else.”

(tons more laughter…)

San Clemente Beach Camping

Sunset from our campsite...

Kadster being restrained because I wasn't ready to set him loose.

Lovin' the sagging cheeks.

There was this perfect tree for the little ones to climb.

I promise Brookie was happy just totally exhausted.

Tanner chillin' with his buddy Morgan by the fire.

Tan having a blast!

Cutie Patoodie's

Brookie refused to smile for our friend Don, but the lighting was amazing!

Some fun in the sun...

Dad getting some sugar.

My handsome Man!

This was the third day at the beach and he loved every minute.
Tanner would totally be happy living on the beach.

Kaden loved roaming free on the sand, seeing how I wouldn't let him loose at the camp ground.

Dad thought Brookie looked a little Jewish with her braid.

What a life, falling to sleep to the sound of crashing waves.

Camping + Beach = The Best Family Memories

The Princess Temple

We have had the opportunity to visit 6 temples now with the kids. It's been such a humbling experience for our little family. This was the first time a missionary was able to give the kids a lesson on the temple grounds. They were shy but loved it. It was a wonderful learning experience.

The San Diego Temple, a.k.a. Princess Temple looked just perfect like always.

Tanner and Brookie were happy to see where their auntie's and uncle's came out after being sealed in this temple.

Brookie was so excited to see the princess temple in person.

Sweet Kaden felt the spirit too!

OCEANSIDE #8

While on our mini-vacation, we stopped by this lifeguard station that brought back some special memories from September 2001.

(Tanner took a pretty good picture of us.)

The kids were troopers.
They are used to me taking tons of pics.

Whistle While U Work

Somebody was a little happy to finally get a bunk bed.
He's patiently been waiting since March of 08 when I found out we were having a boy baby.

The kids were with us at the ultrasound. As soon as Tanner saw that it was a boy,
he asked, " Can I have a bunk bed now?"

Here's Kaden working along side the boys.
(We told Tan that he'd need to wait until his brother turned two)

We decided a year and a half was a long enough wait.

Here's the boy's-Whistling away!

He's Amazing

Last week my hubby took me on a long awaited date. We do go on dates each week but not quite like this one.

Between being prego 27 months and nursing for 36 months in the past 7.4 yrs of marriage, we haven't had much opportunity during the summer months to go to the beach feeling good and being kid-less.

My hunny was very very patient with me. I hadn't been more than waist deep in the ocean for over 15 yrs. I was chicken. So I didn't get to stand up and ride a wave but I rode a wave on my knee's. I probably looked real silly but it was SWEET! There will be another lesson soon. I'm determined to ride a wave at least once standing up.

I have a new appreciation for my hubby's skills. It was so cool hanging out in the ocean, being so close to him while he was catching the waves. I am usually busy watching the kids and a barely can point out where he's surfing. I love that Sean is so adventurous. He's the most adventurous person I know. He can surf, snowboard, wake board, wake surf, Rapell, Rock Climb, and Scuba Dive. Oh I can't forget he can swing dance better than me.

HE'S AMAZING!!!

Just the 2 of US

She couldn't wait to see Goofy until it was her turn to get closer to him.
He does look a little strange in person.

It was just "The Two Nicole's" on this special b-day date!

You couldn't tell that 2 minutes prior she was hiding in my lap telling me how scary Buzz ride was. She was so frightened that I don't think I could put her through that again any time soon.

It's all about the castle.

Brookie knew her name was on her button but she quickly forgot. She was really wierded out when strangers wished her happy birthday throughout the day.

We had a wonderful unforgettable day together.

We stood in line for 50 minutes to see the princesses.
Anything for my little Princess. Brookie was patiently waiting.
There is no way I could have done it with the brothers.

Just a tad happy!

I love you my Brookie Love!
