Winter Mumbo Jumbo

Brookie with her best boy-friend Dawson.  Dawson’s my bestfriends son. This is the cutie that Brookie already says she will marry after college.  As long as they don’t date AT ALL pre-mission, Deanne (his mom) and I are all for it!!! The two of them were babysitting Dawson’s little brother William.

I was able to meet the kids for a special parent lunch at school. I wasn’t able to get a picture with Tan but atleast I got one with my Lyn.  Surprisingly the kids would rather I bring them Subway than Carls Jr or McDonalds.  Go figure! I cherish these moments while the kids still want me to come to their school and they let me hug and kiss them in front of their friends!

On another note…. This is a picture of a note Brookie wrote to her Dad and I while she was doing consequence chores.  Our consequences chores are basically if you make bad choices and or don’t listen repeatedly the kids have to clean around the house in addition to their normal responsibilities. The note reads, “ You are so mean because you said I have to do this!”

Kaden had his super fun preschool Christmas party at preschool.  He made cute crafts, had cookies and hot chocolate and watched “ Polar Express” movie.

We love our cutie Kadster!

How is it that Brookie’s fingers and toes are always well taken care of compared to mine.  I do admit I love giving her pedicures and manicures.  Her little adorable fingers and toes are much better looking than mine!  And I suppose I see the joy it brings when we spend this time together!

Initially you may wonder what the heck this is...I spared you the horrible pictures of Tanner’s mouth when he had these three teeth knocked out of his adorable face.  I think I mentioned it in a previous post but, He was at sports camp and an instructor faciliated a game where Tanner was suppose to keep his eyes shut, while his friend was instructing him where to go! Enough said!!! As you can tell I’m very upset about this accident that could have been easily prevented!!!

Daddy and Kaden making some homemade dinner rolls! Always a favorite at our house!

Poor Tan, this was taken two days after Tan’s mouth injury.  He was such a trooper, didn’t complain at all and didn’t even need to be sedated when Uncle Rob did some oral surgery on his mouth .  The large tooth I pushed back into his gums before we drove up to Uncle Rob's office (per his instructions) and the other teeth were baby teeth so we didn’t attempt to put those back. Tan didn’t once say, it’s not fair that I got hurt nor did he complain about the pain or his poor swollen cute face.  He went along as if nothing had happened!  He’s such a great example to us !!! xoxox

CHRIST mas Bells are Ringing

Boy were the bells ringing in their ears the days leading up to Christmas!
Brookie was thrilled to give Daddy his mug with hot chocolate she bought him at the school boutique.  Tanner and Brookie bought everyone gifts from the boutique but I didn't get pictures of all of them.  They were very excited to buy the gifts for the family and that sure makes me happy. :)

Brookie got her long awaited I-POD shuffle.  Daddy quickly filled it with her favorite songs.

Sweet Tanner's mouth is swollen because he was involved in a sports accidentI considered posting the pictures of his injury but the pictures are pretty gruesome.

One of Tan's favorite gifts was a cool maze game and gift cards for I-tunes.

Kaden got his very own razor!  He's very coordinated for being 4 1/2, yet scares me most of the time!
We kept up the family tradition and went to the movies.  We saw to see "Rise of the Guardians".  We all enjoyed it!  We also got together that evening with more family to celebrate some more!!!

Christ Eve Festivities

Christmas Eve fun at Phil and Pam's. They were gracious to have the party at their house even though it was our turn.

Brookie loves spending time with her newest cousin Haley. She's very careful with her and such a good little mama.
Most of the McMullin cousin's. Starting at the left there's Malachi, Samuel, Tanner, Brooklyn, Isaiah, Eli and Kaden.

As you may notice, Tanner is throwing some signs? I didn't realize it that day but now that I'm blogging, I did.  I asked him what he was doing and he claims that he wasn't doing anything.  Interesting....

I included both pics because some of us look better in one and some look better or can be seen better in the other.
We had a great time together like always.  I wish we had Christmas quarterly so we could celebrate like this more often!!!

Tortoise Time

Can you believe it..?  We broke down and got a pet for the kids for Christmas! (Well we gave it to them two days early.)  It was put in a candy box for transport so the kids were even more shocked when they opened it!
Just a little happy! "Rocky" is an African Spur tortoise.  He or she can live for 100 years and get as big as a huge tire.
Lil' Rocky is a vegetarian and eats our produce scraps.  It works out great because I don't like wasting the scraps anyways!  It's very cute watching Rocky eat, he has the tiniest tongue.

Of course Rocky is very low maintenance which makes it manageable amongst our busy lives.
We are happy to have him as part of the family!

Tis the Season

This is the only picture documenting the gingerbread house tradition.
We had the Budges over for the last BYU game of the season.  We all wore our BYU attire, hence the picture.

We took our trip to our annual Alta Loma Christmas lights!  Nothing compares except maybe Disneyland lights.

We are looking forward to 2013 Christmas season with everyone being healthy so we have lots of energy and time to live it up!!!
