Shrinking Pills

When I was young, or should I say younger, my mother would often say that she was going to give us shrinking pills. Back then I had no clue why she would want us to shrink.

Now that I'm just a tad older I TOTALLY understand why she'd say that. Our sweet precious Colby William is 9 months new.

With the exception of Colby's digestion problems, I'd love to give him shrinking pills and rewind to about April. If only I could watch him go through each stage again. Thank goodness for cameras, for blogs that I can print and for video cameras.

(I pick April because I wouldn't like to recover from surgery again.)

We had these fabulous, darling, memorable, priceless pictures taken right when Colb's was turning 9 months.

The pictures on this post are my ultimate favorites but, like always there are many many more that I love too.

The photographers only charged $ 65 for the session and all the pics on a CD including edited ones. They were very patient and I felt like I was ripping them off so we tipped them just a little.

My Favorite Things at Sea World

While the kids were off school we went on a family date to Sea World.

My favorite things! When Sean and I were in Florida I fell in love with these Dr. Seuss sweatshirts and I had to buy them.

This Elmo ride was Kaden's favorite of the day.

Our McMullin band was rocking out!

Sorry no pictures of the Orka Whales, I stole this one. I was worried about getting the camera splashed. Tanner LOVED the anticipation of getting drenched. And he sure did got soaked!

Colbster was thrilled to be outside most of the day.

After Sea World we ate at Islands Restaurant, one of our family favorites. As you can see Tan has on two sweatshirts. He was still freezing from getting soaked at the killer whale show.

We ended our family date making a quick stop at the San Diego Temple. Can't go wrong finishing off a memorable day for us here.

Put Your Hands Up!

The kids had some fun dress up days at school. I was hoping they'd enjoy dressing up. They were both good sports!

Colby-Pokey had to be a part of the action too.

Can you guess what kind of day today was?

This is the evidence that Daddy wanted Kaden to have a party in the back. His hair was long all over and I appeased Dad by cutting the top and leaving the back long (Just for two days). And I do really have Kaden wear wife beater's for undershirts.

Sweet Brookie added some pizazz to her white hair clip. She's so creative!

A few of my favorite things. They are hard to see but the drawing on the left side is a Rapunzel tower. On the right Brookie drew a family portrait. Tan made the cute giraffe at the top in the middle and the shield to protect me!

QT at Hogwarts

We weren't much Potter fans before this Hogwarts Date weekend.

Sean earned a quick Florida get away for us from Allstate.
We were celebrating with specially made Potter butter beer! We had a nice relaxing getaway.

Our flight, five star hotel, and most meals were paid for. Little did we know that we were getting two day passes to Universal Studios and Universal Island of Adventures! As you can see behind us there is an exact replica of Hogwarts.

We were blown away by the detail and replication!

Colby was a trooper, he was super happy to be outside so much. Sean and I were able to swap going on rides without having to wait. It's great that most theme parks do that now. Our favorite rides were, The Hulk, Harry Potter, and Spiderman. I had no idea that I could assimilate being sick pregnant for the day; Well I did after riding these rides. It was still worth the thrill.

If you didn't already know, I am a Dr. Suess fan. I think I just feel real young again reminiscing about 30 yrs ago.

Colbs and I got to be in most of the pictures because Daddy knows I'm the one always behind the camera.

Wow, Woody really out dates me!

It was great our Hotel had complimentary water taxi's. So we took short relaxing rides to the parks and to some restaurants.

Such is the life!

I'm Late, I'm Late, for a very important date!

To kick of our Halloween Fun we went to our traditional pumpkin patch with the Sage's. Nothing but fun! Brookie used all her tickets on a super jumper suspender. Brave Girl! Sorry no picture. :(

Just in case you can't tell twenty years from now, Daddy was the Mad Hatter and I was Alice in Wonderland.

Colby was fighting fires.

Our smurf rescued his Princess Rapunzel.

Our ward trunk or treat is always a blast!

La la la la la la-
la la la la la!

On actual Halloween we celebrated with some of our favorite pals the Kalayji's.

Brookie's buddy Dawson made it known last year that Brooklyn is his future wife and that no one else is good enough or better than her. He talks to his Mom about her beautiful hair.

Captain America protected us from all the bad guys for the night.

Colb's and his cheeks just hanging out.

Sean and I attended Phil and Pam's great party. Dad was a cool hippie. I was trying to look cool.
