Simple Joys

Kaden said, "Colby's my bestest friend, he's my bestest Colby". I said, Kaden you are such a nice brother.
Then Tanner said, "Kaden will teach his sons how to be nice and it will pass on to his kids and then their kids". I love that Tanner gets it!

For FHE we rotate bearing our testimonies. It's been a great blessing in our home. I think it's a great Testimony builder for the kids without it being threatening. Here are a few that we've jotted down.

I WILL LIKE TO BEAR MY TESTIMONY THAT I KNOW GOD AND JESUS LIVES IN HEAVEN. I KNOW THE HOLY GHOST IS REAL. IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AMEN- TANNER MCMULLIN

I'D LIKE TO BEAR MY TESTIMONY. I KNOW THE CHURCH IS TRUE AND I KNOW THAT HEAVENLY FATHER LOVES ME AND I LOVE HIM AND IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AMEN – BROOKLYN MCMULLIN

Colby walks a few steps here are there when he feels like it. Tanner loves when he walks and so he tries to stand him and and coax him to walk. Colby gets real mad!

Brooklyn worrying about where her kids and hubby r going to sleep when they stay at my house.
Brookie Love is getting jealous that Tanner is able to be baptized soon. I heard her Tanner, "I just want to get baptized now so my sins get washed away."

Kadster continues to be a spit fire. Hes' very particular about what he eats and how he eats it. He's our health nut. If it were up to him he'd eat granola, fruit and nuts all day.

We had a special Family Home Evening about Tanner deciding to be baptized. That evening Tanner said, "I wants to be baptized so I can get my sins washed away and to receive the holy ghost. We celebrate Easter for Jesus' resurrection not for candy."

Colbster started leading the music during FHE and sacrament. So precious!

We went to eat with Aunt Heather Ann. I took Brookie to the bathroom and randomly she said, "I want to name my baby Glide McMullin". I tried to explain that "Glide" would use her hubby's name just like I did. She didn't like that.  She likes to be a McMullin!

Kadster multi-tasks while he's pooping, Recently he was signing, "Follow the Prophet" while doing his business.

On one of our routine Miguel's runs we pass by all the dairies, Tanner said, "when the mommy cows have the babies the dad's don't have to be there? They don't help?" Apparently Tanner thinks that's pretty mean of the Dad's. Brookie asked, "When they lay their babies? The Dad's are mean. Sean is very ultra super Dad!!! He's very involved with the kids and it shows. They absolutely adore him! The kids can't imagine life any other way.

It's funny that Colby loves Miguel's Jr. beans and rice like the kids and I. I think I ate mexican food so often while I was nursing that my milk must have tasted like it. Sorry TMI. It has been proven that the breast milk tastes differently depending on the mothers diet. Babies even turn down milk when the mothers have had a lot of garlic or onion.

Kaden loves stories at night. Daddy comes up with the best ones. More often than not, Dad will be in the middle of a story and Kaden will interject and say no and that he doesn't like that one or change what Dad was saying. It's to funny and Kaden is very imaginative.

During Sacrament meeting one Sunday Tanner said, "Man it seems like that guy has been talking for an hour!" It was the high counsel man. It was pretty funny. I admit it was a bit boring talk especially for children.

One our family bike ride, Brooklyn was doing tricks and singing "Choose the Right". She is so spiritually focused. Her angelic singing often puts me in check when I need a little pick me up.

Our Loby had also learned to fold his arms during prayer. It's so rewarding to watch and the kids say their heart melts just watching him. I didn't say he fold them the whole prayer but on and off!
