One night talking with Brookie she said, "I'm going to tell you a Jesus story. Jesus is our love. Jesus is in our hearts! Really he is! Jesus gives us bread and water from him. He loves us!" If that doesn't melt your heart what does?
Tanner is the father hen around the house. He's usually first to the scene of any accident. Usually before I make it to the scene he has the band-aid and ointment ready. He's very protective too. Grandpa Hundley was super protective and cautious. I tell Tan that he's just like his Grandpa and he loves that.
Apparently I kiss Kaden to much. I thought he would tell me that about 5 years from now. I felt like crying when he said, "Don't kiss me Mom!" Tanner heard Kaden and got mad at him and explained how he should love my kisses.
Tanner was working on a US map puzzle. He asked, "Mom, is the United States of America a girl or a boy? I told him that technically America isn't either but America is referred to as a girl. I sure didn't expect that question.
Colbster lights up when any of his favorite peeps come near him. He's been showered with love since before he was born but man it's such a sweet reward to see how much all the children love one another. I often think of one of my Daddy's favorite songs, "As I have Loved You, Love One Another".
Colby was crying for quite some time. Brookie came up to me and asked, "Mom can I say a prayer with my hands on Colby's head like this?" She had her hand on his tummy. I explained that Daddy has the wonderful power of the priesthood. She was so sweet to want to help Colby feel better. She agreed that second best was to say a prayer on his behalf.
Kaden is super creative. It's such a blessing that I get to spend so much time with him and observe his little mind working away. Currently he's realized that his poop surfs. Yes when he was watching his stuff as he flushed he got so excited and said, "Mom my poop is surfing. Surfs up in the USA." I had to smile and just laugh with him.
Tan has had the main responsibility of caring for out garden. It's amazing how responsible he is. He takes it very seriously and expresses concern when plants aren't going good as well as total joy when a squash, tomato or pepper is ready for us to eat.
Brookie goes out of her way to show off her Colbster. When we have company over, she likes to hold Colbster and make sure everyone sees. She also talks in an especially sweet voice to he baby.
Tan is such the big brother. He was meant to be the first born. He understands how kinder works and the materials Brookie has to master this year. He takes the initiative to help Brookie read sight words and then he quizzes her and writes random percentages next to the words like he's grading it.
